Description

Unlocking AI is a two-day workshop designed for creatives who want to understand how image generation tools work and how to integrate them into their own workflow. Led by Boldtron and Remembering Orion, the course combines theoretical context, real working methodologies, and visual exploration exercises to understand AI as a new medium within the practice of design and art direction. During the workshop you will work with professional pipelines, real case studies, and group dynamics that will allow you to develop a strong and presentable final project. This is not a course focused only on learning how to write prompts. It is a space to understand how images are constructed with AI, develop visual criteria, and discover how these tools can be integrated into your practice without replacing your perspective as a creator. Throughout the workshop you will learn how to: Use AI as a tool within your visual process, maintain your style and visual criteria within generative environments, build visual briefings, develop unique and portfolio-ready pieces, understand the technical and ethical foundations of AI models, explore processes of visual synthesis and image generation

Contents

The workshop takes place over an intensive weekend divided into two days, combining theory, practical exercises, and project development.

Day 1: AI as a creative medium
A theoretical introduction to artificial intelligence applied to visual creation. We will explore the current context of AI, the main models, and the conceptual approach the instructors apply in their own practice.

During this day you will learn how an AI generated image is constructed, how to think about it, and how to guide it with a clear creative intention. We will work on practical group exercises to begin exploring different visual approaches and to understand how these tools can be integrated into a real creative process.

Day 2: Challenges and project presentation
On the second day we will explore different workflows, and based on these processes participants will work on solving visual challenges and developing a final project.

Throughout the process there will be guidance and feedback on the aesthetic, narrative, and conceptual aspects of the proposals. The workshop will conclude with presentations of the projects developed by each group and a collective reflection on the creative process.

Teaching Team

Boldtron, the studio of Xavier and Daniel Cardona, develops a practice focused on 3D, CGI, and AI applied to image making, exploring hybrid processes between technology and visual creation. With a strong international trajectory, they are part of the Krea.ai ecosystem, where they lead its Creative Program and develop methodologies that understand AI as a tool to expand contemporary creative practice. Elena Pérez, the designer and digital artist behind Remembering Orion, develops research centered on generative AI, world building, and hybrid processes between visual culture and technology. With more than fifteen years of experience in the field of digital art, she is part of Krea.ai’s artistic program and focuses her practice on integrating AI through a critical and authorial perspective.
