Description
The course "Introduction to 3D Design with Blender" will focus on the technical development of a render from scratch. To achieve this, Alex will guide you through the main phases of a generalist 3D designer's workflow: modeling, materials, lighting, compositing, and rendering. By the end of this course, you will be able to navigate the Blender software interface with confidence and understand the basic concepts needed to continue developing your skills with technical ease and adapt them to your own style.
Contents
Session 1: Introduction to the Blender Environment
We will take a tour of the interface and workspaces. We will set up the software and learn how to navigate the space and manipulate objects.
Session 2: Introduction to Object Modeling
We will begin exploring modeling tools to create complex shapes from simple objects.
Session 3: More Modeling Tools
We will learn to manipulate and shape Curves, a type of object that will allow us to generate more organic and complex forms.
Session 4: Materials and Particle Systems
We will delve into using materials and other tools to modify the appearance of the surfaces of our objects.
Session 5: Lighting and Rendering
We will learn how to light our 3D scenes, frame them with the Camera object, and take a Render of them. We will also have a discussion to address questions and provide feedback on the artworks generated in class, as well as on 3D design in general.
Requirements
To participate in this course, it is necessary to have Blender installed on your computer and to have curiosity and interest in the software. Dive into the world of 3D with this practical and accessible course, ideal for taking your first steps in modeling and animation.
Teaching Team
This course will be taught by Alex Wifi, a 3D artist with over 6 years of experience working with clients from the EU and the USA. Alex graduated from the Massana School in Barcelona and has taken his creativity to new heights by combining 3D, illustration, spatial design, and interactive projects.
