Your work has spanned many places and formats, from technology to art. If you had to describe what drives you or what still surprises you about the creative process, where would you start?
Although my medium is digital tools, with some more visceral or artistic traits, what still surprises me most about the creative process is being able to connect with extremely ordinary and common objects around me. I’m fascinated by observing, recognizing, and celebrating the elements or dynamics that are part of the local culture of the place where I live. I firmly believe that our surroundings directly influence our work. That’s why, whenever I start a new project, especially a personal one, I step away from the computer and any design medium that might condition me. I try to connect with all those things that aren’t present online or on social media: the tangible, the everyday, the authentic essence of a place.
