    How has your education and experience in graphic design influenced your current approach as a creative developer?

    I have always seen design and development as something synergistic. Knowing how to code has made my design methodology more structured, while my background in design has led me to a more free and creative approach to programming. Regarding my approach as a creative developer, having worked as a designer and understanding the needs of design studios allows me not only to develop more accurate solutions but also to communicate more clearly.

    Olivier Estévez

    I’m Olivier Estévez, a motion designer and creative developer based in Barcelona. I studied graphic design at IDEP and started out working in tech startups, before specializing in motion at THRU. Although I come from a design background, I’ve always had one foot in development, I’m especially interested in what happens when both worlds meet. I work across animation, interfaces, and code, always looking for kinetic and flexible solutions, whether for brands or personal projects. I particularly enjoy that middle stage of the process where good ideas start to surface, when design and technology really begin to speak to each other.
