When you start a project, what do you look for first: an emotion, a material, a gesture, or a story?
All of those. It’s very organic, I couldn’t put them in a specific order. It flows from intuition.

Raquel Quevedo
I’m Raquel Quevedo, an artist and designer based in Barcelona. My practice moves between art direction, graphic design, experimental typography, photography, and installation, constantly exploring the boundaries between the digital and the material. From my studio, I develop projects that understand design as a space for research and transformation. I’m interested in working with found materials, waste, and mutant objects, placing them in dialogue with digital tools to generate new forms of image and meaning. My work is characterized by an experimental approach to typography and visual systems, understanding design not only as a communication tool, but also as a territory for art, knowledge, critique, and social engagement. In my practice, I aim to keep curiosity alive, explore intuitive processes, and create projects where matter, image, and emotion can meet and transform one another.
